Tava will sponsor a Zocdoc profile for providers who are paneled with insurance as another way to help you attract new clients.
How to get an external profile
Once you are paneled with insurance, we will automatically create your external profile for you.
Sharing your profile
In order to get paid your higher compensation rates for your own clients, market yourself with your practice website instead of your Tava-sponsored Zocdoc profile.
Compensation
You will be paid your Tava referral rates for sessions with clients who sign up on Tava sponsored external profiles.
How clients book
Your Zocdoc profile will display the same availability you've set in your Tava profile.
Note that when clients book with you on Zocdoc, their new Tava account will be automatically created and the session will be booked. Then, they will need to click the link in their email and text to set their Tava account password and complete intake. If they have trouble finding the link, they can reset their password at care.tavahealth.com using the same email they used to book on Zocdoc.
Intake
Zocdoc clients may schedule appointments on a provider’s calendar before completing all Tava intake requirements or accepting all applicable policies and fees. This is part of how Zocdoc’s scheduling process works and is required for providers participating in the Zocdoc program.
Tava does send reminders to these clients and requires them to complete all necessary intake steps, including accepting required fees and policies, at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. If those requirements are not completed by that deadline, the appointment should be automatically canceled.
You'll see this callout in the client's profile if they haven't completed intake:
In some cases, however, a Zocdoc client may remain on your calendar past the 24-hour cutoff and then no-show the appointment.
What happens if a Zocdoc client no-shows?
If you have a Zocdoc client no-show, Tava will pay out a $40 Zocdoc no-show fee. This fee applies specifically to Zocdoc no-shows and is different from your standard no-show rate.
Why is the Zocdoc no-show fee different from my standard no-show rate?
The Zocdoc no-show fee is not paid at your standard no-show rate because Zocdoc clients are acquired through a separate channel that includes additional costs. In addition, these clients have not completed Tava intake or accepted your standard no-show policy before the appointment. Because of this, Zocdoc no-shows are handled under a separate no-show fee structure.
Zocdoc reviews
To boost your Zocdoc profile, you can ask any of your previous or current clients to leave you a review on Zocdoc through this link, even if they did not book with you on Zocdoc—or Tava! Even 1 positive review makes a big difference on this site. Any new clients who schedule with you on Zocdoc will automatically be asked to leave a review after their session.
Can I opt out of seeing Zocdoc clients?
Yes. Providers can opt out of receiving Zocdoc clients at any time. To opt out, email provider-support@tavahealth.com and let the Provider Support team know that you would like to be removed from Zocdoc scheduling.
