What is Tava Scribe?

Tava Scribe was built to reduce the burden of compiling session notes after meeting with a client, in order to increase the quality of care for your clients and your own quality of life as a therapist.

How Does Tava Scribe Work?

When enabled, Tava Scribe processes the content vocalized during a therapy session and converts it into a concise, properly-formatted draft. It then combines that draft with any notes you’ve taken as a therapist, ensuring a comprehensive reflection of your session.

Privacy and Confidentiality

We understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality in therapy. Here’s how we protect your and your client's information:

• Data Protection: Tava Scribe drafts are encrypted and only accessible through Tava. Our platform is built with security in mind and undergoes industry standard SOC 2 security and privacy audits. We will never sell your patient's protected health information.
• Compliance with Regulations: Tava Scribe maintains HIPAA compliance.
• Data Retention: Video is not stored. Audio recording transcripts are stored for up to 5 days and deleted after the therapist summary is completed. Transcripts are not used to train third-party AI models.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does it cost? Tava Scribe session notes are free for all Tava providers.
2. Can my client opt out? Clients will have the opportunity to opt-out before joining any session where Tava Scribe is in use.
3. Can I use it on in-person sessions? Tava Scribe is currently only supported for virtual sessions. Support for in-person sessions is underway.
4. What if I want to disable this feature? You can do this easily in your Account Preferences.
5. Can I use Tava Scribe for notes written in languages other than English?
   Not at the moment. Tava Scribe currently only supports the English language.
6. How many days after the session do I have to generate a Tava Scribe note? You have 5 days from the session to generate the Tava Scribe note. You will see reminders on each session if the transcript expiration is approaching.
