Scope of Services
As part of our Consent to Care form, all Tava clients acknowledge the following statement regarding the scope of provider services:
“Tava Providers do not make recommendations, write letters of recommendation, or complete applications for services that are outside the scope of your individual treatment. This includes, but is not limited to, requests for medical leave, medical disability, fitness to work, child custody, or emotional support animals.”
This policy ensures that providers remain focused on treatment goals and do not assume responsibilities that fall outside of Tava’s scope of care.
Provider Guidance
You are never obligated to complete any request that feels inappropriate, outside your expertise, or unrelated to treatment goals.
When in doubt, communicate with your client that such services are outside of your scope of practice.
Always document the client’s request and your response in the chart.
The use of Tava letterhead or branding (including logos) in provider letters is not permitted.
Should you so choose to complete any documentation, remember to review each state licensure limitations, regulations, and requirements prior to agreeing to complete any documentation for a client.
