Tava Video has several unique features and embedded tools that make your and your client's video therapy experience seamless:
- Crisp audio and smooth video. In 2024, we upgraded to a new video system which improved quality significantly. If you have any issues, try these troubleshooting steps.
- Virtual backgrounds and background blur. Keep the focus on you with a blurred background, or choose from one of our virtual backgrounds to enhance your virtual space. Note that this is only supported on desktop/laptop computers, not tablets or mobile devices.
- Noise cancelation. Any background noise distractions will automatically be filtered out from the call, though you can always turn this setting off. This isn't available on tablets or mobile devices, or in Safari browsers.
- Screenshare. You or your client can share your screen to incorporate visual tools (especially useful for EMDR) or illustrate a concept with a worksheet or a whiteboarding tool like webwhiteboard.com.
- Session note draft drawer. Start writing your session note from right inside the call while maintaining eye contact with the client. Drafts are auto-saved for you to review and submit later in the sessions tab.
- Client info drawer. Without leaving the call, view your client's coverage info, assessment history, session note history, and contact info.
- Personal Notes: Capture and view private, therapist notes that will not be submitted with session notes.
- In-session chat. Message your client during a session to coordinate logistics, troubleshoot issues, or share links.
- Schedule next session. Both you and your client can schedule your next session from the top right corner, as well as see and reschedule the next upcoming session.
