Tava offers couples and family therapy as a service, but there are a few important details to know about how it works on the platform.
Payment for Couples & Family Therapy
At this time, insurance does not cover couples or family therapy sessions. Clients can pay using:
- Their self-pay method (credit/debit card)
- Their employer-sponsored coverage, if available
Device Access & Session Logins
Tava currently does not support multiple device logins for sessions. If multiple participants need to join from different devices, please contact therapist-support@tavahealth.com at least 48 hours before the session so we can assist with setup.
Receiving Couples & Family Therapy Referrals
To receive referrals for couples or family therapy, update your Tava profile:
- Navigate to your profile settings
- Select Couples Therapy and/or Family Therapy under "Types of Therapy Interventions"
Clients can filter by these services when searching for a provider.
Documenting Couples & Family Therapy Sessions
In your session note, select the appropriate session type from the drop-down menu.
