Set your availability
Use the Availability tab to set, change, or update your availability.
- Use "Regular Hours" to set your recurring availability. This will ensure that your calendar is automatically updated with consistent availability every week, subject to any blocked time on your synced calendar(s).
- Use "Away" to block off one-time, unavailable periods. This will create blocks in your calendar during your “Regular Hours” when you would otherwise be available. This is useful when you need time off or will be unavailable for appointments.
- Use “Extra time” to add one-time, non-recurring availability. This will create extra available time in your calendar outside of your “Regular Hours.”

Sync your calendar
Syncing your calendar with Tava prevents double bookings and ensures you never miss an appointment. When synced, your personal calendar events will automatically block availability on your Tava schedule, and your Tava appointments will appear on your personal calendar.
How to Sync Your Calendar
- Go to "Calendar Sync" under "Preferences: in your Profile (located under your profile image in the bottom left).
- Choose your calendar service and sign in.
- Select the calendar(s) that should block your Tava availability:
- If an event is marked as "Busy", clients won’t be able to book during that time.
- If your calendar service (e.g., Google Calendar) allows events to be marked as "Free", those events will not block your availability.
- Select one calendar where you want your Tava appointments to appear.
- Wait at least 30 minutes before making additional changes to allow the system time to complete the sync.
Calendar sync troubleshooting
If events from your synced calendars are not blocking your Tava availability in the way you expect:
- Make sure you have all the correct calendars selected.
- Make sure the events that you want to block your Tava availability are on the calendars you have selected.
- You can click Refresh to re-run the sync process again, which can take up to 24 hours.
If your Tava appointments are not appearing on your synced calendar in the way you expect:
- Double-check your schedule in the Tava platform, and pay close attention to your text and email reminders. Appointments that have been canceled or rescheduled may take a while to sync correctly on your personal calendar, but they will always appear correctly in Tava.
- Make sure your time zone is set correctly in both Tava and on your laptop or phone.
To change the email address you have set up on calendar sync:
Click "Remove" when selecting the calendar sync box.
